＜概要／目的＞
The general purpose of the Exchange student Program is to promote international educational and cultural exchange to develop mutual understanding between students. Therefore, TMU and UOS enable us to exchange our experience and deepening our knowledge of foreign cultures and strengthening international relationships.

- Exchanging our research experience with University of Seoul (UOS) students through joining of interested laboratory in department of life science of UOS, and attendance the UOS-TMU life science conference.

- Discovery of the Korean culture and enjoying with fantastic sightseeing in Seoul.

＜活動内容／具体的成果＞
02/02

On the afternoon, we arrived at Gimpo International Airport, Seoul. And meet UOS organizers at the airport and heading to the dormitory by train then bus.We finished reception of our rooms smoothly and took rest. we meet together at night for dinner at a Korean restaurant which we tried various kinds of delicious food and spent funny time together.
        

02/03
We meet together in the morning for campus tour where UOS students introduced UOS buildings and all facilities like library and art museum and comics museum which was very interesting.
We had lunch with UOS students and after that, we directed to the building of life science where everyone went to interesting lab. For me, I selected the Nano biointerface Laboratory. Its pleasure to meet all member of this lab. And UOS organizer explained for me his project and we discussed deeply how can we develop his experiment. We already prepared collagen-based hydrogel material for drug delivery, it was a great experience for me.
At the evening, we had a very warm welcoming party from the UOS organizer and students. They introduced their lab and main research in their lab, We (TMU students) also had the opportunity to introduce our lab and our main research topic in the laboratory. We spend a good time with each other.
        

02/04
In the morning, I continued our experiment and discussed with our protocol. I presented my project for UOS organizer in the lab and we discussed about my research and achievements.
After we had the lunch, we directed to engineering building to measure size particle of hydrogel by dynamic light scattering (DLS). And at the evening, I joined with all lab members for welcome party. I was so excited to try korean food and chatting with lab members about korean culture.
        

02/05
This day, I had a great opportunity to learn preparation gold nanoparticle and I started in the morning after one of the lab members taught me the protocol of preparation. At afternoon, we completed our experiment by characterization for gold nanoparticle by DLS and TEM.

02/06
We enjoyed  Korean culture and traditional food this day. We went to some sightseeing places, enjoy the traditional ceremony at king palace and traditional wear (Hanbook). So fantastic to walk inside the old village (Bukchon Hanok Village), visiting tea museum to taste  Korean tea. Actually the view was very wonderful at the roof of the tea museum. You can feel with originality blended with relaxation.

        
        

02/07
This day UOS-TMU life science conference was held in the morning and we attended the opening ceremony. We attended all sessions starting with welcome words of Prof.Choi (UOS) and then the presentation of Prof. Fukuda (TMU). At the afternoon, all student of TMU and UOS presented their posters after attendance oral presentations.I presented a poster for my current research at RIKEN and some students of UOS were very interested.

        

02/08
This day was our last day in Seoul. The organizer helped us to send our luggage to the Incheon international airport and check in our flight as well in Seoul station. We received our boarding pass in the station and after that, we enjoyed the tour in several places in Seoul before going back to Japan. We arrived at Haneda airport and returned back home safely.

＜感想／課題など（企画力／評価力／自主性等の向上を含む）＞
Its honour to me to be a member of TMU-UOS exchange program organizers. I was keen to participate in this program because it offers more international experience and integration with other cultures. This event will give us a chance for collaboration between our labs in the future. My visiting Korea was very interesting and full of good experiences. I would like to appreciate warm welcome of UOS during our staying in Korea.  

Thanks for all allowing us to have this experience and I hope to be continued for next years.
