＜概要／目的＞
The purpose of this activity is to provide the international experience and build a good relationship between Tokyo Metropolitan University, Japan, and the University of Seoul, South Korea through research presentations held in English.

＜方法／企画としての特徴6＞
The title of this activity is “TMU-UoS Bio-conference”. It was an online conference held through Zoom. There were four main speakers consisting of two lecturers and two students from TMU and UoS, respectively.

＜活動内容／具体的成果＞
Technically, this activity consists of presentations on biology research from lecturers and students of TMU and UoS. The duration of each presentation was approximately 50 minutes to one hour. After that, there were discussions and QnA sections.

The first speaker was Dr. Naohito Takatori (TMU). He is a lecturer at TMU, his presentation was about “Separation of germ layer fates in ascidians, The roles of cell cycle and cell deformation”. The second speaker was Dr. Jung Hyun Lee (UOS). She gave the presentation about the relationship among Viruses, Pandemics, and Immunity, especially about the Covid-19 virus.

The third speaker was Wonyoung Jeong (UOS) with his presentation about “LDL receptor-related protein LRP6 senses nutrient levels and regulates Hippo signaling” and the last speaker was Yuki Kato (TMU). She talked about “The mechanism for nuclear accumulation of ZFP36L1/L2 and its significance in RNA splicing”.

＜感想／課題など（企画力／評価力／自主性等の向上を含む）＞
The TMU-UoS Bio-conference is a good program to share knowledge, build an international network, and improve English communication skills. In my opinion, it was a good opportunity to get new knowledge from various research fields and discussed the current issues, such as the Covid-19 virus which still requires a lot of study. Through this program, I can learn how to give an amazing online presentation, display an attractive presentation, and get international conference experience.

I really hope that there is a general explanation or introduction about the University of Seoul. Because I would like to get the information about the condition and situation of this university, what fields of study are available, how the laboratory conditions are, and how the learning atmosphere there. However, I did not get information about that. Therefore, I hope next year I could join this program again by visiting UoS directly in order to answer my curiosity and get real experience in exchanging culture, language, and research between TMU and UoS.
