This event was held on Monday, November 21st, 2022,  in building 12-102 and the atrium of building 8, Tokyo Metropolitan University. This event was divided into two sections. First, the seminar from Dr. Dong-sung Lee and the poster session as the collaboration program between UOS and TMU students.

In the first session, Dr. Dong-sung Lee gave a presentation about gRecurrent 3D genome structural alterations that facilitate activity-dependent oncogene expressionh. This seminar was held for around 1,5 hours. After the presentation, there was a discussion. There were many lecturers and students who were interested in joining this seminar. The seminar was in English so as an international student I could follow and understand the content of the research easily.
In the second session, there was a poster presentation between UOS and TMU students under the gTMU-UOS Bioconferenceh program. This poster session was held in the atrium of building 8, TMU.  Each student from two different universities was introduced and explained about her or his research from various research fields. Through this program, I could know what kind of research has been done at the University of Seoul. I could discuss with them and got many information and knowledge from many fields of study. I also introduced my research and got some useful comments and advice from many people.

From the seminar, I could learn how to give a presentation well and through the poster session, I also learned how to design an attractive poster and how to explain the audience nicely. Even though I joined many conferences before, this was my first-time experience learning it from other students from other countries besides Japan. I also could introduce my own research to UOS students.
For next year, I hope TMU-UOS Bioconference could be held on the first beginning arrival of UOS students to Japan and the schedule could overlap or at the same time with the annual Bioconference held by the Department of Biology, TMU every year. Therefore, many students and participants could join in this event. So far, this is a good opportunity to promote and collaborate the research activity between two different universities in different countries.
