＜概要／目的＞
The very first chapter of the TMU-UOS exchange program was to pick the UOS students from the airport. This was a very important activity since it was the first time we met them face to face as well as it being their first contact with Japan and TMU for this exchange program.  


＜方法／企画としての特徴＞
A plan was made beforehand and SUICA passes for the UOS students were arranged. We planned to have Lunch at the airport after meeting up with the UOS students at the arrival lobby and then head to Minami-Osawa by limousine bus and then move to their accomodation at Hashimoto by train.

＜活動内容／具体的成果＞

I and the other organisers for this segment (Yousuke Oguchi, Bounsanong Choungthavy and Ardika Dani Irawan) discussed the plan for the pickup beforehand, Mr. Oguchi handled the matters regarding transport for the Korean students regarding their SUICA cards and the limousine bus tickets. Myself, Mr. Irawan and Mr. Choungthavy travelled to Haneda airport together via train and arrived at the airport by 10.20 am as per the arrival time of the UOS students. We met up with Mr. Oguchi at the airport and confirmed that the transportation preparations were all in order. We then awaited the arrival of the UOS students at the arrivals lobby with a welcome notice.
The UOS students arrived at 11.46 am and we welcomed them and got to know them and introduced ourselves. However there were only 9 students since one of them was not able to join them in the same flight. They informed us that this student will be arriving at 6.55 pm on the same day. We informed this matter to the chairperson and she promptly made plans to welcome this student as well.
Eventhough the plan was to have lunch at the airport itself we decided to have lunch at Minami-Osawa due to the time constraints. We confirmed this with the UOS students as well and headed to the bus terminal where we boarded the bus.
Upon arrival at Minami-Osawa at around 2.30 pm, we had lunch at a restaurant in Minami-Osawa. After lunch the UOS students went to the Biological Science Office for registration procedures with Mr. Oguchi and Mr. Choungthavy while I and Mr. Irawan stayed at the Minami-Osawa station with the Luggage of the UOS students. After completing the official rocedures we headed to the Hashimoto Park Hotel via train and after the UOS students settled down at the hotel and freshened up we finally headed back with them to Minami-Osawa for the welcome party.

＜感想／課題など（企画力／評価力／自主性等の向上を含む）＞

The pick-up was fun as well as very informative since we had to deal with some issues such as the flight delay and timing for lunch on the fly, however we managed to get through due to our planning and communication. This was a great experience for me and I hope we managed to give the UOS students a good first impression of the TMU student organizers.
