＜概要／目的＞
To provide the opportunity to UOS students who have come to Japan to enjoy sightseeing in related to biology and natural history experiences and notable cultural and signature places in Tokyo.

＜方法／企画としての特徴＞
The organizers were meeting and designed the activity that related to both biology and cultural. We have finalized a one day tour programmed as following activities: (1) Koishikawa Botanical Garden tour, (2) Sensoji Temple and Asakusa sightseeing, (3) Sky Tree visit

＜活動内容／具体的成果＞
(1) Koishikawa Botanical Garden tour

After arrived to Koishikawa Botanical Garden. Dr. Diego who will be our tour guide waiting us on the gate, he gave us map of garden and introduce brief history of the place and brought us to some important buildings inside garden. After that, we have a freely observes by ourselves in each greenhouse where is several tropical, temperate plants species are cultivated. Along the walkway we have the opportunity to seen the Newton’s apple tree (a graft tree from representative in London), and Mendel’s grapevine and their history. This activity was great that we have chance to see thousands of plants around the world including my country.

(2) Sensoji Temple and Asakusa sightseeing

Although, this is the fifth time for me to visit this place. However, I am always enjoy and happy to see people from around the world visit this place. Never uncrowded even this is weekday. There is free time for everyone for sightseeing. All of us enjoyed to look around, bought sweets and souvenirs before visit Tokyo Sky Tree.


(3) Sky Tree visit

This place is not far from Asakusa by few minutes train.
UOS students and I are the first time to reach the top floor of the tallest building in Japan. Fantastic panorama view of Tokyo, we enjoy the view of sunset to lights of building and streets.



After tour we have some free time to walk around to enjoin nighttime with decollation for upcoming Christmas. After that, we have a good opportunity to communicate, exchange experiences to each other during our nice dinner time.

＜感想／課題など（企画力／評価力／自主性等の向上を含む）＞
The organizers (Funatsu San, Taki San and Toshima San) they are planning, proceed activities smoothly. However, in the morning of Tokyo tour day, there was unexpected problem with Keio Line that was immediately stopped at the time we are travelling, and the scheduled arrival time at Koishikawa Botanical Garden was significantly delayed. We try to find the alternative transportation from appointment place to our planned places. Luckily, we can solved that problem together. Overall, despite some troubles at the beginning, I would like to thanks to the Funatsu San, Taki San and Toshima San, and cooperation of UOS students that we were able to create sightseeing enjoyable, it was a good opportunity to spent time together, learning and exchange both culture with good memory.
