＜概要／目的＞
The Tokyo tour was organized in order to allow the visiting UOS students to experience the culture and enjoy the sights of Tokyo.

＜方法／企画としての特徴＞
Myself and the other organizers first had several meetings prior to the day of the tour in order to fine tune the plans for the day. We decided to arrange the locations such that it covers education, culture and entertainment.
For the education segment, The Koshikawa botanical garden and the natural history museum were selected, to cover the cultural aspect sensoji shrine, asakusa was selected and finally we decided to visit Tokyo Skytree for the entertainment section.
I communicated extensively with Diego Vasquez sensei, a member of the Koshikawa botanical garden in order to arrange his schedule so that he may provide us with a guided tour.

＜活動内容／具体的成果＞
1) Koshikawa botanical garden.
Upon visiting the Koshikawa botanical garden we met Diego sensei at the gate where he handed us a map of the botanical garden as well as a pamphlet with information on the botanical garden after which he gave us an introduction about the purpose and history of the botanical garden.
He then showed us the old buildings and also Newton's apple tree (a graft of the original counterpart in England) and Mendel's grapevine.
We also spent some time visiting the greenhouses and learning about ferns.



2) Natural History Museum
Due to time constraints we only spent a very short time at the Natural History museum but everyone enjoyed it.



3) Sensōji Temple (Asakusa)
To experience Japanese culture we visited the famous Sensōji shrine in Asakusa.
Everyone henjoyed seeing the traditional buildings and the shrine and also the unique shopping experience in the stalls at the Sensōji shrine.



4)Tokyo Skytree
Finally for entertainment we visited the Tokyo skytree which is a landmark of Tokyo. Since we had made bookings we were able to see the Tokyo Skyline from the very top of Tokyo Skytree, it was a great experience. After this the UOS students shopped at the Skytree mall for souveniers and also enjoyed the anime themed stores.



Finally the tour was finished with a dinner of Nabe and sashimi.





＜感想／課題など（企画力／評価力／自主性等の向上を含む）＞
Despite the extensive planning and preparation we were unfortunate to experience an issue of the railway system on the morning of the tour. Myself and Phong san took a very crowded bus to meet the UOS students and we were planning on taking a taxi to the botanical garden however due to the long wait for a taxi, the trains resumed activity before we managed to get a taxi.
Despite the delay I discussed with Diego sensei and managed to arrange the Botanical gardens visit and reschedule our tour, however we had to sadly cut short the tour of the Museum to manage our schedule.
Despite all the issues we managed to successfully act on our plans and visit the important places and make the event a good memory for the UOS students.
